SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC) in S/4HANA Public Cloud

Updated: Mar 22

SAP Central Business Configuration

SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC) is the central implementation tool used for configuring SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition.

In simple words, CBC is the control center where consultants define:

  • The scope of the project

  • Organizational structure

  • Primary finance settings

  • Configuration steps

Earlier, SAP used tools like "Manage Your Solution". Now, CBC replaces all old tools and brings everything into one unified, guided workspace.

CBC Structure Overview

CBC consists of 4 key pillars:

  1. Scope - What business processes are needed

  2. Primary Finance Settings - Basic financial framework

  3. Organizational Structure - Company code, plant, sales org, etc.

  4. Configuration - Activate scope items and perform system settings

These are available under the Activities section on the left panel (highlighted).

Understanding the Activities Section

The Activities section is the heart of CBC. It contains the sequence of steps required to configure S/4HANA Public Cloud.

Let’s break down each activity:

1. Scope

Countries/Regions - SAP loads localization for each selected country (Example: India GST, US GAAP, Germany SAF-T)

Languages - For system login & training.

Bundles - Baseline Accelerator, Enterprise Management

Scope Items (SAP Best Practices) - Finance (FI), Sales (SD), Procurement (MM), Manufacturing (PP), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Integration, Actual Costing, Analytics Cloud which you can add or remove based on customer requirements.

2. Primary Finance Settings

Before creating org structure, SAP requires:

  • Fiscal Year Variant

  • Group Currency (optional)

These settings are the foundation for all financial postings and localizations.

Without this step, SAP does not allow activation of company code or org structure.

3. Organizational Structure

After finance basics are defined, the next step is:

  • Create Company

  • Create Company Code

  • Assign Currency

  • Define Plants

  • Define Sales Organization

  • Define Distribution Channel

  • Define Division

  • Create Purchasing Org

  • Assign organizational relationships.

CBC ensures the sequence is correct (no manual mistakes).

4. Configuration

Once scope and structure are ready, this section provides:

  • Guided configuration tasks

  • Data input fields

  • Reviewing dependencies

  • Post-activation checks

This section flows into the actual S/4HANA Public Cloud environment. Everything here is based on the scope you selected earlier.

It provides a guided, structured, and role-based approach to implementing business processes across the entire enterprise landscape. With CBC, organizations can manage scoping, organizational structure, project experience, and solution configuration from a single unified interface.

Hey guys, let me share my real experience with this platform. I was looking for a smooth live casino site that actually works well in Bangladesh and doesn’t lag during peak hours. Found https://bajilive.gg/ through some local groups and it quickly became my daily go-to. The live dealers are friendly and the streams are super clear. I mostly play Teen Patti and roulette now. My worst moment was during a big winning streak on Teen Patti — I got cocky, started raising bets heavily thinking I was unbeatable, and one bad hand wiped out everything I made that night. Harsh reality check. These days I keep strict rules: fixed bet size, maximum one hour per session, and I always cash…

Came across Twitter Games and it has a nice collection of casual browser games. The social-oriented games are fun when you want something interactive. Clean layout and quick load times make it easy to jump in.
