Diagnosis

For depreciation key  (with period control V8 and period control method of phase ), no depreciation period could be determined for date 20241202.

System Response

Depreciation cannot be calculated or posted.

Procedure

Maintain the period assignment for the period control specified (in Customizing for Asset Accounting under Define Calender Assignments).

If the period control is a standard period control, you can also assign the periods automatically (in Customizing for Asset Accounting under Generate Period Controls).

SOLUTION:

STEP 1: Either go to T -Code OA84 or follow the below path to configure

STEP 2: Enter Fiscal Year Variant, From Calendar Year and remove Test Run > Execute.
